In this video I show you my process of working from reference photos, to draw in a semi-realistic fashion, working our way to a more whimsical and cartoon style at the end. This will show you how I go from what you see on the page to augmenting the reference in a fun and interesting way. We start with sketches, and work toward a final illustration. Topics include realism, cartoon, whimsical, design, illustration, and art. What this video is not is a How to. I prefer to cover the concept broadly so you, as an artist, can bring your own voice to the ideas.
